Features Guide

Deep dive into every CrewIQ feature

Reserve Predictor

AI-powered callout probability prediction — the core of CrewIQ.

How It Works

Our algorithm analyzes multiple factors to predict your callout probability:

  • Your queue position (most important factor)
  • Day of week patterns (Mondays/Fridays typically higher)
  • Disruption status at your base
  • Historical callout rates for your airline
  • Seasonal variations

The Sticky Probability Bar

As you scroll through settings and controls, a compact bar stays visible at the top showing your current probability, confidence level, and active disruption status — so you always see the impact of your changes in real time.

How to Use It

1. Update your queue position daily
2. Set disruption status when conditions change
3. Check prediction 2-3 times per day
4. Provide feedback after each reserve day

Can I Plan This?

Stop cancelling plans “just in case.” Get a data-driven answer.

How It Works

Tell CrewIQ what you want to do, when, and how hard it would be to cancel. You’ll get one of three assessments:

  • Safe to Plan (green): Low callout risk during your planned time
  • Caution (amber): Moderate risk — proceed but stay flexible
  • High Risk (red): High callout probability — consider rescheduling

Alternative Windows

If your chosen time is risky, CrewIQ suggests safer alternative time windows so you can reschedule rather than cancel entirely.

Plan Monitoring

Save your plan and CrewIQ will alert you if conditions change — for example, if disruption levels increase after you’ve committed to dinner plans.

Disruption Status

Real-world conditions that affect your callout probability.

Four Levels

  • Clear (green): Normal operations. No adjustment to probability.
  • Watch (yellow): Minor delays possible. Probability increases by 15%.
  • Warning (orange): Significant disruptions. Probability increases by 30%.
  • Critical (red): Major disruption active. Probability increases by 50%. Pack your bag.

Auto-Detection

CrewIQ automatically suggests a disruption level based on current weather conditions at your base. You can always override manually — crew know about staffing shortages, mechanical issues, and ATC delays that weather data can’t capture.

Time Windows

Know WHEN you’ll likely be called, not just IF.

Peak Call Times

  • 2:00-6:00 PM — Highest probability (40% of calls)
  • 6:00-10:00 AM — Morning rush (25% of calls)
  • 10:00-2:00 PM — Mid-day operations (15%)
  • 6:00-10:00 PM — Evening flights (15%)
  • 10:00 PM-6:00 AM — Red-eye/overnight (5%)

How to Plan Around Windows

Use time windows to schedule gym sessions, errands, or rest around high-risk periods. Pair this with “Can I Plan This?” for a complete picture.

Layover Hub

Smart Integration

Notes tagged to an airport code automatically appear in the Layover Hub when you visit that destination. Filter by airport code or category to find what you need fast.

Trip History

Your complete career record — every trip, every stat.

What You Can Log

  • Date, route (multi-leg supported), credit hours
  • Per diem amount with currency selection
  • Reserve day status and callout details
  • Personal notes for each trip

Statistics

Monthly and year-to-date stats including total flights, credit hours, per diem earned, unique destinations visited, reserve days, callout rate, and prediction accuracy based on your feedback.

Prediction Feedback

After logging a reserve callout, rate how accurate CrewIQ’s prediction was. This data improves the algorithm for everyone and shows your personal prediction accuracy on the Home screen after 10+ ratings.

Pay Tracker

Know what you’re earning — in real time.

Setup

Enter your hourly rate, guaranteed hours, and overtime multiplier in Profile > Pay Settings. CrewIQ calculates the rest.

What It Tracks

  • Estimated monthly earnings based on your logged trips
  • Month-over-month comparison
  • Year-to-date per diem total
  • IRS taxable threshold warning (alerts when your per diem average approaches $68/day)
  • End-of-month projection based on current pace

Seniority Tracker

See the finish line. Track your journey from reserve to lineholder.

How It Works

Enter your seniority number and the lineholder cutoff at your base. CrewIQ calculates positions remaining and shows your progress as a percentage.

Monthly Updates

Update your numbers each month when new bid results are posted. CrewIQ tracks your movement trend and projects when you could hold a line based on average monthly improvement. A nudge reminds you when it’s been 25+ days since your last update.

Commute Intelligence

For crew who don’t live at base — never miss a callout window.

Setup

Enter your home airport, base airport, travel time, and buffer in Profile > Commute Settings.

How It Works

CrewIQ calculates when you need to leave home for each upcoming callout window. A commute alert card appears on the Home screen showing your departure deadline. The card turns amber when departure is within 2 hours and red when the time has passed.

Rest Advisor

Rest smarter, not just longer.

Safe Rest Windows

Found in the Fatigue tab. CrewIQ identifies periods where your callout probability stays below 15% — safe for deeper rest without anxiety. The duration and end time are shown clearly.

Check-In Alarm

A suggested alarm time 30 minutes before the next high-probability window, so you’re prepared when risk increases.

Recovery Tips

Personalised advice based on your current fatigue level. Green (Good) tips focus on maintaining your routine. Amber (Caution) tips prioritise sleep. Red (Fatigued) tips include considering a fatigue call for multi-day trips.

Fatigue Tracker

Monitor your fatigue levels based on consecutive duty days.

Fatigue Levels

Good (green): Well rested, fewer than 3 consecutive days
Caution (amber): 3-4 consecutive days, monitor closely
Fatigued (red): 5+ consecutive days, prioritise rest

Rest Advisor Integration

The Rest Advisor section below your fatigue score provides actionable guidance — safe rest windows from prediction data and recovery tips matched to your fatigue level.

Important Note

This is a personal awareness tool, NOT medical advice. Always follow FAA/airline fatigue policies.

Schedule Manager

Track your reserve days, training, and off days in one place.

Color Coding

  • Reserve (blue): On-call duty days
  • Off (green): Days off
  • Training (yellow): Recurrent/safety training
  • Other (grey): Custom events

Layover Integration

Tap any day with an active layover to jump directly to the Layover Hub for that destination.

Certifications

Never miss a renewal deadline.

Expiry Alerts

90+ days: Green (current)
30-90 days: Yellow (renew soon)
Less than 30 days: Red (urgent)
Expired: Red (overdue)

Prediction Factors

Transparent breakdown of what influences your prediction.

Understanding “Show Factors”

Tap “Show factors” on the Home screen to see detailed explanations of each influence on your prediction. Each factor shows impact direction and strength. Disruption status is now included as a factor when active.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from CrewIQ users

Accuracy & Trust

How accurate are the predictions?

Based on beta testing, CrewIQ predictions are accurate 70-85% of the time. Accuracy varies by airline, base, and user feedback volume. We always show confidence levels (High/Medium/Low) so you know when to trust predictions more. After logging 10+ callout outcomes, your personal accuracy percentage appears on the Home screen.

How does it work without my actual callout data?

We use a combination of industry research, historical patterns, and user feedback. Our algorithm learns from reserve crew members who report whether they were called. The more users provide feedback via Trip History logging, the more accurate predictions become for everyone.

Can I trust this for planning?

Use predictions as planning guidance, not guarantees. The “Can I Plan This?” feature gives you a clear Safe/Caution/High Risk assessment with reasoning. Always check your airline’s official system before making final commitments.

How does disruption status affect predictions?

Disruption levels multiply your base probability: Watch adds 15%, Warning adds 30%, Critical adds 50%. CrewIQ auto-suggests a level from weather data at your base, but you can override manually for non-weather disruptions like staffing shortages or mechanical issues.

Features

What is “Can I Plan This?”

A feature that tells you whether it’s safe to make personal plans based on your current callout risk. Enter what you want to do, when, and how hard it would be to cancel. You get a colour-coded risk assessment with reasoning and alternative safe time windows if your chosen time is risky.

How does the Layover Hub work?

Pre-enter upcoming layovers with destination, arrival/departure times, hotel, and per diem. When you arrive, everything is in one card. Your crew notes from previous visits appear automatically. You can store multiple layovers for multi-city trips and edit or delete them anytime.

What does the Pay Tracker show?

Set your hourly rate and guaranteed hours in Profile. CrewIQ estimates your monthly earnings from logged trips, tracks your year-to-date per diem, and warns you when your per diem average approaches the IRS taxable threshold (~$68/day domestic).

How does the Seniority Tracker project my line date?

Enter your seniority number and lineholder cutoff each month. After two or more updates, CrewIQ calculates your average monthly movement and projects when you could hold a line. The more updates you provide, the more accurate the projection becomes.

What is the Rest Advisor?

Found in the Fatigue tab. It identifies safe rest windows where your callout probability stays below 15%, suggests a check-in alarm before the next high-probability window, and provides recovery tips based on your current fatigue level.

How does Commute Intelligence work?

For crew who don’t live at base. Enter your home airport, travel time, and safety buffer in Profile. The Home screen shows when you need to leave home for each callout window. The alert turns amber within 2 hours of departure and red when the time has passed.

Privacy & Security

Is my data private?

Yes. All schedule data, trip history, pay settings, crew notes, and seniority data are stored locally on your device. We do NOT upload your personal data to our servers. Only your name, email, airline, and base are stored server-side for beta access.

Can my airline see this?

No. CrewIQ is an independent tool. We do not share data with airlines, advertisers, or third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Airline Coverage

Does this work with my airline?

CrewIQ supports all major US carriers. Tier 1 airlines (United, American, Southwest, Delta) have the most detailed predictions. Tier 2 airlines (JetBlue, Alaska, Spirit, Frontier, Hawaiian, Allegiant) use regional patterns. All other carriers use industry-standard patterns.

International carriers?

Currently optimised for US carriers. International expansion is planned. Email [email protected] to request your airline.

Technical Questions

Why does my prediction change?

Predictions update when you change inputs (queue position, disruption level) or when time windows shift throughout the day. If you’ve saved a plan via “Can I Plan This?” and conditions change, you’ll receive an alert.

What does “confidence level” mean?

High (75%+): Based on strong data, prediction is highly reliable.
Medium (50-74%): Good data but some uncertainty.
Low (below 50%): Limited data, treat as directional only.

How often should I update my position?

Update once per day minimum, or anytime you see your position change significantly. More frequent updates mean more accurate predictions.

How do I improve prediction accuracy?

Log your trips in Trip History and rate prediction accuracy after each callout. This feedback directly improves the algorithm. The more crew who participate, the better predictions become for everyone at your airline and base.

Beta & Pricing

How do I join the beta?

Visit app.crewiq.cloud and complete the signup. Beta access is currently open to all reserve flight attendants at US carriers.

What will this cost after beta?

Expected pricing: $7.99/month ($79.99/year). Beta testers receive a lifetime discount at launch.

What do beta testers get?

Free access during the beta period, lifetime discount at launch, direct input on new features, and priority support.
